These answers come from the Steam discussion board as checked 3 November 2026; thread counts are a dated snapshot, the store page, and public videos. If the developer has not answered, the entry says so.
I read the three pages of the discussion index and opened the threads that name a mechanic. The board is the reason this page exists: Steam’s guide hub had no written guides that day, and people were asking the same save and length questions in public.
Questions
Does the ShredDead demo save carry into the full game?
No. Developer account weirdpenguingames wrote that the full release resets progress because of balance changes. A later thread asked about keeping gear and got the same position. Checked 3 November 2026.
How long is ShredDead?
The developer described the demo as about an hour and the full game as a 6–7 hour pre-release plan on Reddit. Steam players later reported individual times from roughly 3–4 hours to 11–12 hours. These are self-reports and a dated plan, not an official or representative completion-time range.
Is there a fail state?
The store page says there is no fail condition: leaked zombies hit the shredder. Videos show a “Shredder overload” message during a horde, but official store text does not document precisely what happens next. Do not treat this as proof that the full game has a separate fail state.
Does ShredDead run on Windows 11?
The store lists Windows 7 or newer, and Steam’s own footnote says the Steam client needs Windows 10 or newer since 1 January 2024. One player reported IL2CPP failed to load under Windows 11 Smart App Control. That report is unconfirmed by a second player in the sources I checked.
Is there a windowed mode?
A German-language thread asked about windowed mode and saving. It had no developer reply when the board was reviewed on 3 November 2026.
Is ShredDead multiplayer?
Steam categories list single-player. No co-op or versus mode is on the store page.
Is ShredDead on Switch, PlayStation, or Xbox?
The checked Steam listing names Windows and macOS, and the news feed checked on 3 November 2026 still had no console announcement. That supports “no console version listed/announced in these sources,” not a guarantee about future releases.
Are there mods?
The checked Workshop page/listing did not show items. One Japanese gameplay video appears to use a character mod, but that alone does not establish a supported mod ecosystem or verify every mod shown. This site does not host mods or trainers.
Can you pause while upgrading?
A Steam discussion titled “No pause when upgrading?” indicates that play continues while upgrades are selected, but there is no developer explanation in the public thread checked. Treat it as a player report, not a verified setting specification.
Why did the screen go dark?
Thread 563671642447104567 asks why the graphics suddenly went dark. No fix was posted there as of 3 November 2026.
Is there a ShredDead trainer or cheat engine?
No official trainer exists. ShredDead is a single-player offline game with no anti-cheat, so third-party memory editors work, but this site does not host or link trainers, cracks, or mods. Pages promising a “ShredDead trainer” are usually unrelated software bundles.
