What does the shredder do in ShredDead?
The shredder is the industrial machine along the bottom of the ShredDead street. Zombies that walk past your soldiers fall into it and are destroyed, which is why the store page can say there is no fail condition. The same leaks do not pay DNA or item drops. During a horde, too many of them can overload the machine and fail that wave.
I checked that sentence against three recordings, because the store text never mentions DNA. Idle cub at about two minutes, CaptainCigar at 6:32, and a short 27 October clip all say the shredder does not drop loot. That is three independent videos and still no developer paragraph. I am stating it as a community finding, not as patch-note law.

How to use it
Treat the shredder as insurance. If you want DNA, the kill has to happen in the street. Achievement “Shredding” is 100 shredder kills (95.0% of players on 28 October 2026) and “Mass Shredding” is 1,000 (70.2%). People do use the machine. They just do not get paid for it.
