ShredDead skill tree explained

Updated 2026-11-03. Checked against public sources on that date.

The ShredDead skill tree is a large hex map you can zoom and pan. Nodes spend DNA. Locks mean a previous node has to be bought. That much is on the official Steam screenshot. The printed names under the nodes are too small to read, so this page does not invent a node list.

I zoomed the store image until the digits held still. Costs I can make out include 125, 188, 234, 325, 375, 391, 500, 671, 900, 938, 1K, 1.3K, 1.5K, 1.6K, 2.3K, 2.7K, 2.9K, 3.1K, 4.3K, 4.8K, 5K, and 9.9K. Icons split into grenades or guns, soldiers, and zombies. I will not staple those prices onto guessed names.

v1.0.1 added one node that the public screenshot predates: an upgrade that makes grenades fire automatically. The patch notes name it, but the screenshot above does not show its position or cost, so it is listed here without a price.

How far players have gone

By 3 November 2026 the global achievement rates were 50.5% for “Full Skill Tree” (unlock all skill tree slots) and 43.0% for “Mastery” (fully upgrade all skills). Those are two different bars: buying the nodes, then maxing them. The rates will move as more people finish.

The zoom bug

Steam thread 563671642447062918 says that after you zoom, the view snaps back to center and some lower nodes cannot be clicked. The post includes an imgur shot. v1.0.1 (29 October 2026) extended the zoom-out range but did not list this bug as fixed, so treat it as open.
